Stained Glass Evenings

Stained Glass Evenings

The Glass Cabin (map)

By request I’ve added evening classes for my local friends! We’ll meet here at my studio in Sparta for five sessions, Monday evenings April 22- May 20th from 7-9.

We’ll have a small class size of just four students, so beginners and more experienced stained glassers will receive individual instruction and one on one time with me. Beginners will complete their first project, a little suncatcher, on the first evening session! In the following sessions you will hone your skills and learn new techniques with a project of your choice.

More advanced students will have the perfect opportunity to take on a larger project and stretch their comfort zone. We can work on the technical aspects of designing your own patterns or creating a panel to be installed in a window. The weekly format will allow you to work on your projects at home and come back to me each week to tackle any issues that arise.

Cost: $250

Saturday May 4th and Sunday May 5th, 10:30 - 5:00

This will be a fun intro to stained glass. Class will run two days. On day one I’ll introduce you to all of the tools and supplies and how to use them. We’ll jump with into a fun suncatcher project with you choice of patterns designed by me. On day two we’ll continue to explore beginner stained glass techniques with a small project of your choice. Class size is limited to four students, so we’ll have a lot of one on one time and I’ll be able to shape the lessons to your specific goals.

All tools and materials will be provided (as will a supply list and shopping suggestions for setting up your own studio). A light vegetarian lunch and soft drinks, coffee and tea will also be provided. You are welcome to bring additional snacks. If the weather cooperates, we’ll have lunch in the cabin yard.

Cost: $300

Workshop: Advancing Stained Glass

Workshop: Advancing Stained Glass

May 11th and 12th

This weekend workshop will be a great chance for a stained glass artist with some experience to work with me to further your skills and creativity. The small class size of four students will allow for plenty of one on one time. I’ll communicate with each student before the session in order to customize a curriculum based on your stained glass goals.

Students are encouraged to bring their favorite tools and supplies, but you will have access to my studio and can supplement your projects with any glass or other materials you might need.

Class will run from 10:30-5:00 both days, with a break for lunch. A light vegetarian lunch and soft drink, and coffee and tea will be provided. Students are welcome to bring additional food and beverages. If the weather cooperates we can have lunch in the cabin yard, or in the glass cabin!
